A weekend trip to one of my favorite cities (NYC) to celebrate love and vaccinations.
I can’t believe that this was my first time on a plane in over a year and I almost thought that the wedding would be postponed since we’re still in the middle of a pandemic. Luckily, over the last few months, there really has been a huge vaccination push, so, I’m glad that we were able to safely celebrate.

The ceremony was short and sweet with touching speeches and a mariachi performance following it. And let me tell you, that mariachi performance really tested my Spanish listening comprehension!
After the reception, did we then decide to hit up a karaoke bar in K-town when we probably could have just called it a night? Yes. This was also why getting up the next morning was a task I wasn’t ready for/was out of practice after over a year of lockdown.
Fast forward to Sunday (because Saturday was a chill day) and we brunched and then checked out the L.E.A.F. flower festival alongside hundreds of New Yorkers.

Whew, it felt good to be outdoors with a lively atmosphere that New York is know for… I’ve missed that.

Until next time, New York!
